The Oakland Community Store & Learning Center is a relatively new store in the rural community of Oakland, Oregon. The space it occupies is small, but it has the potential to be a top-notch natural store, once it fully develops.IMG_9975-0

The store’s exterior has a rustic facade. Its tellurian paint and the unique bench built from antique IMG_1466wagon wheels sets the ambiance, while modern signage announcing the store’s presence blends nicely with its surroundings.

Inside the store it is clean and well-organized. A lovely brunette shopkeeper working the counter is charming, easy to talk to, and has a deep sincerity for organic foods. Her zest for healthy living is infectious.

The shelves are stocked with local-grown items and major fair-trade organic brands for the concerned shopper, at surprisingly competitive prices. Various juices, gluten-free foods, books and other items can be found throughout the shop too. The locally produced honey and organic vinegar selections are particularly impressive.

A brief conversation with the owners is enough to know that they’re outgoing and friendly people with a great business plan; they project strength and fortitude, tempered with earthy personalities that will surely be mirrored by their business.

A Crow’s View is confident that the Oakland Community Store & Learning Center will succeed. This ethereal little shop will unquestionably fill a much needed demand for the people of Oakland, Sutherlin, and the surrounding areas.
